EPS Alpha Line
The first full-scale production line for EPS processing – 'ALPHA' line – began service late 2008. It was the working laboratory to refine EPS process parameters and control, determine optimum abrasive grit type, produce full coils for downstream process and application testing, and to verify EPS economics.
In late 2008 ALPHA was released for commercial orders. Today, it produces EPS coils for service centers, OEM manufacturers and value-added processors (cold rolling, tube & pipe, galvanizing) who prefer EPS' clean, oil-free surface to acid-pickled HRPO.

Materials That Use EPS Process
EPS processing typically uses hot roll black as the incoming material. Finished EPS coils are dry – no oil or coating – as they're inherently rust-resistant. Even so, a film of oil or metal working lubricant can be applied upon customer request.
HRPO coils that were previously acid pickled can be EPS'd to restore their value. Rust can be removed, surface flaws reduced and shape improved.
We even EPS stainless steel. Why? It tunes surface roughness to achieve better paint adhesion.
